Our club

BIT consists at the moment of 31 members. 15 are female, 16 are male. 50% have a non-german background. They are working for insurance companies, large logistics firms, broadcasters. Among us are employees, entrepreneurs, students and scientists. A wide range of diversity.
What do we have in common? We want to improve our communications skills. Therefore we are members of toastmasters. We are convinced that the ability to speak confidently in front of an audience is a mighty tool for our personal growth.

Anne Kathrin Jansen is the President of the Club for 2011/12. She works in academic exchange and is mother of two sons (15 and 21). She joined BIT at the beginning of 2010 and is very enthusiastic about the personal development, which can be achieved by actively participating. Therefore she wants to encourage many more people to go for their own goals and grow thru BIT.

Ricardo Jiménez, Vice-President Membership, the team building roll. With military background, Ricardo is working in the finance area. He is married and has two kids (13 and 19). Among his hobbies we can find jogging, swimming and reading.


is Vice-President Education and responsible for the enhancement of our member’s communication skills! ‚Communication skills are the key to sucess, both in private and business life.’ Ursula works with an international company. Having worked abroad in marketing and sales Ursula in her private time offers trainings e.g. in negotiation techniques, quick-wittedness or how to recognize and react to manipulation.

Chahira Nouira is Vice-President Public Relations.On her journey through the world, she did not only learn how to master several languages but also achieved a Master degree in Entrepreneurship. Her affinity for social media brought her to the United Nations University (UNU) where she joined SCIENTIA in 2009. She is in charge of e-learning projects.

In charge of club finances as treasurer is John Kluempers. By trade he is a radio journalist and presentation trainer for graduate students. In his free time John likes soccer (both playing and watching) and sailing.
Nancy Njoroge is the Sergeant at Arms of the Club, responsible for maintaining club properties, arranging for meeting room and welcoming members and guests at each meeting. She works with the United Nations in Bonn.
Jayanti Srinivas is secretary of the club. Jayanti has lived in Bonn since 2004 with her husband and they have two sons aged 11 and 6.When she is not taking care of her three men,she enjoys public speaking,reading and meeting people.

Klaus Volker Roth is Past immediate president of the club. He runs a theatre for young people located in Cologne (D.a.S. Theater).
He is member of the International Association of
Theatre for Young People (assitej). Besides the work he likes countrylife and horseback riding.

 


 

 

Mentoring and teamwork are cornerstones for the success of the Toastmasters Idea.
