If want to participant at a meeing in the APC you can come without announcement. Please be in time. We start in time.If you want to participate at a meeting in the UN building please send an e-mail to speaktobit@googlemail.com with your firstname and familyname. So that we can put you at the visitors’ list to enter the UN building. Due to UN Security requirements, please make sure to be at the UN Gate before 6 p.m. Unfortunately no entry is allowed after 6 p.m. Don`t forget to bring an ID. Without no entry due to UN security reasons.

Social media here, social media there. We hear about it all the time and many of use it.But how is it perceived? "it´s all too much time consuming" "It´s for people who have nothing to do", Can we get something out of the use of this type of media? Why should one care? This session will help reflecting on the above questions and give some insights on how social media could support public speaking in many ways.
The presenter is Chahira Nouira, UN University - e-learning department.

Additional: Oliver Prostak will present a talk on "Market Intelligence". Web 2.0 and social media as tool in business life. Mariana Lisiani will present the most proven way to communicate: the Storytelling. Susanne B. will talk on "Guerilla Marketing" in Social Media

Having power. Getting to the point. Without PowerPoint
We all know it - a presentation nowadays without PowerPoint is like an Alpine winter without snow.Or a Cologne carnival without the shout 'Alaaf'. In other words, we'd be shocked if it didn't happen. Many speakers have turned the presentation into a slide festival (or more like a slide avalanche), much to the chagrin of the audience. But how badly do we need PowerPoint for our presentations? In this mini-seminar, John Kluempers will focus on why a speaker should carefully weigh their use of slides - and what they win without them.
